Avre Friday Briefing #9

Avre Friday Briefing #9

We went live!

Well, that was an exciting week - we launched our very first Batch, the M1941 Arctic Field jacket. A few of us met up in person and were able to watch as the sales started coming in. Thank you to everyone who has ordered and to those who haven't, there are still some of the 531 left.

This week we also paid a visit to our fantastic studio team to check in on progress of the first batch of Arctics. It was great to see the studio in full flow.

We also became overnight experts in button holes this week. Matching every detail of our jackets as close as possible to the original versions has always been a fundamental part of what we do. So when we were told we couldn't have the keyhole shaped button holes that adorned the originals, we had to find another way to make it happen.

So working with the team at the studio we sourced and purchased "The Iron Duke", The Reece 101. This belt-driven beauty is unashamedly old school. It sounds like a machine gun as it creates the stitching and cuts the hole.
