This week we're excited to announce that Batch No. 3 pre-orders are live. The U.S. Navy Shawl Collar Denim Shirt is made of 13.75oz, indigo dyed, premium American denim.
The Shirt
The design is rooted in the U.S. Navy working dress of WWII. The distinctive shawl collar could be worn open, or flipped up to protect against wind and sun on deck. The selvedge runs vertically behind the placket on both sides, the buttons are etched with an anchor motif and the whole thing is handmade here in the UK.
The Fabric
The shirt is made from 13.75oz American selvedge denim, indigo-dyed. We pre-wash it ourselves which takes out the shrinkage and gives it an immediate broken-in handle — soft and substantial from the first wear. The indigo will keep developing from there, fading in its own way with time and use. Every shirt ends up looking slightly different.
