Avre Friday Briefing #31

We Have Ways Fest — face to face with customers

Last weekend we made the trip to Blackpit Brewery for We Have Ways Fest, James and Al's festival. As a direct-to-consumer e-commerce business, we don't have the facility for customers to visit us and try on our garments, but having a stand at WHWF meant we could meet our lovely customers face to face and they could try on our jackets.

The response to Batch #2 was really encouraging; it was great to show off the quality of the workmanship and for customers to feel the fabric and see the finished product. Several festival-goers who'd been considering a purchase made their decision right there after feeling the fabric and construction firsthand.

Pre-Orders — still open

Batch #2 Pre-Orders are still open for our mailing list subscribers. If you'd like to get in before the General Release, now's your chance. We sent the purchase links around last Friday; if you've joined since then, the links are in the welcome email you should have received. If you're not on the list and you'd like to purchase now before our General Release, sign up to our mailing list and you'll get an email with links to purchase. Any issues, please get in touch hello@avreind.com

We'll be closing Pre-Orders soon so we can order materials and get on with production. After that it'll be a few weeks until we launch our General Release. Pre-Orders will start shipping in January 2026.

Longer sleeves — we can make it work

One hot topic of discussion at WHWF was sleeve length. The sleeve length on the samples we had at the festival were coming up slightly long for most. We mentioned this to most people on the day, but the sleeve length will be reduced by 2cm when we create the jackets. However! If you preferred the sleeve length on the samples, or indeed if you needed them longer, we can accommodate you. It's a straightforward adjustment that doesn't affect the overall pattern or construction timeline. Just let us know on email: hello@avreind.com

New studio images incoming

We've also got a fresh batch of studio imagery coming next week. The new images will go live on the website early next week, giving a clearer picture of both Batch #2 variants before the main launch.

What's next

Pre-orders continue to tick along, and we're still on track for the General Release a few weeks from now. The festival proved there's genuine appetite for what we're making — now it's about getting the production details right and maintaining the quality standards that matter most. Lots of people also enquired about Batch #3 - watch this space!
