Avre Friday Briefing #19

Avre Friday Briefing #19

Batch #1 Update

The studio team continues to work through the General Release orders for Batch #1, with everything still tracking for early August shipping. We've had some lovely feedback from pre-order customers, so if you're a Batch #1 General Release customer, hopefully the wait will be worth it.

Batch #2

The samples have been doing the rounds recently and we've had some great feedback  which we'll factor in to production. We expect to fully launch the jacket in mid-July once we've finalised photoshoots. We'll be announcing Batch #2 to our mailing list first, so if you're not already signed up, now's the time.

Chalke History Festival

This week James and Al have been at the Chalke History Festival in Wiltshire, which is in full swing in the picturesque Chalke Valley.

James and Al, with their trademark wit and historical insight will tell the story of how the Second World War truly ended, covering the eight surrenders that reshaped the world. Perfect timing given their recent book "Victory '45" covers exactly this ground.

Al is also back in Pub Landlord mode appearing on the festival's comedy history quiz "Histrionics" alongside Ian Hislop and Charlie Higson, amongst others. The whole thing happens across the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, complete with living history displays and re-enactments.
