Avre Friday Briefing #15
Well, it's been another busy week!
Batch #1 Pre-Orders
This week we were in the studio in Greenwich, but this time it was to collect finished jackets. There was something quite satisfying about loading up the car with a boot full of M1941s, each one carefully checked, wrapped and ready to find its new home. These are being packed and shipped as we speak, so if you're a pre-order customer, your jacket should be arriving next week.
Jacket #007
Today we were also delighted to deliver jacket #007 to Justin, our Batch #1 Instagram competition winner. Justin just happens to be an expert Airfix model maker of some repute - as you can see on his Instagram channel, adastra_models. The attention to detail inherent in Justin's models and his passion for historical accuracy immediately struck a chord with us. Creating both jackets and model aircraft require patience, respect for the original, and an almost obsessive attention to getting every detail right. It was great to see an M1941 out in the wild.
WW2 Headquarters
This week we've been enjoying diving into James and Al's new website, https://www.ww2headquarters.com/ It's a great resource which contains all the content created by the guys over recent years. Books, podcasts, films and a fascinating archive of WWII documents, letters, maps and photos amongst other treasures. Bravo chaps!

Thanks for letting us know Thomas, glad you like it!
Greetings!
I just unpacked my M1941 Arctic Field Jacket and I am blown away by it! It far exceeded my expectations. I am looking forward to wearing it this October when I go to Normandy for Woody’s battlefield tour with WW2TV.
Thanks again!
